We see a lot of outrage about pro-crime and anti-self-defense, anti-private-property legislation in Virginia, and maybe other places. I am actually not sure why people post this stuff. They like to be angry, I guess. “No no!”, they say, “People need to be informed!” Why? So more people can be angry, too?
These are textbook illustrations of how, just because “legislators” vote for it, that does not make it Law. Sure, it can operate as law if you get caught up in the system’s effort to enslave you. But in the sense that law exists to protect rights given by God, in the sense that any human pretensions to law-making must conform to the rules of Divine or Natural Law, it is just so much arrogant, dishonest, tyrannical garbage.
In fact, that is EXACTLY what our American Revolution was about: to establish that government and law exist to secure our God-given rights. If they are not doing that, then they are not law, and they are not government, but are merely a conspiracy to enslave.
But our Founders did not stop with stating a principle. They told us precisely what we must do, and have the right to do, to make certain that law and government stay legitimate, that is, on their proper job. Courts and judges are where we are mistaught to focus our attention, but they are essentially just rooms and a moderators, facilitators, of a process. The essential elements of the process, investigation and accusation, physical moving of objects and controlling of people, and ultimate decision-making are all, by Law, OUTSIDE the institutional system, and in OUR hands. I am, of course, talking about Grand Juries, Constitutional Militia, and Petit Juries.
As for why the “justice system” neither looks nor works like that today, that is because we have been propagandized, mistaught, lied to, cozened through our own laziness and cowardice, to “let the professionals do it””
It is worse than sitting in our own shit, because we are too lazy or squeamish to learn to fix our own plumbing.
People scream at me, “Tactical Civics is not working!!!” Are you trying to work it?
“Nobody has ever done this!!” Nobody wrote a Declaration of Independence either, until 1776. Where would we be now, if the signers had decided that nobody wanted to be first?
“It’s TOO LATE!!!” Okay, we have lost two pints of blood. Is it too late to put on the tourniquet? Gotta better idea?
“We need a Revolution!!” They have revolutions all the time in South America, in Africa…had a big one in Russia, in 1917, China in 1949, Iran in 1979, in Afghanistan 1978 and 2021. Did these make anything better? We HAD our Revolution, and now we have our Constitution. I have this pile of bandages sitting on the floor next to me, but I am still bleeding! Do you think I should try wrapping them tightly around the wound, or would that be too much like work?
How about ENFORCING that Constitution?
